As we wind down the year, we’re looking at the most popular Shaped by Dog podcasts over the last 12 months, and they are all about dog training. The episodes on leash walking, puppy biting, helping dogs with reactivity or resource guarding, and dogs jumping up on people have been at the top of your playlists.
In the episode you'll hear:

- A review of my top tips for loose leash walking with your dog.
- About how our Do-Land dog training approach is a layered.
- More on dogs jumping up on people and how that relates to kids hugging.
- Why everything that’s important with our dogs is worth our time.
- How behaviour and confidence in dogs will either grow or erode.
- The reason we need to be consistently consistent for our dogs.
- Why puppies bite and how play helps them understand rules.

Thank YOU!! I love everything you have to say and teach us!!!
Have a wonderful New Year and I will be listening for sure!
Thank you for everything! I post links to the SbD podcasts ALL the time—in Facebook and Instagram, especially! I’ve done so on the PawSafe Rescue “Alumni” page (the rescue we got our Aussie-Brittany-mix Calliope from) quite often ( a couple times a week or more), but also the Old House group I belong to (sometimes folks ask questions about protecting their old house —floors, furnishings—from their dogs!), the Grown and Flown Facebook group (people like to give themselves puppies when they are empty nesters, evidently), generally to friends and former students who post questions about their doggos, and a bunch of other places, including just randomly on the street when someone says “your dog is so well-behaved.”. (I’m seriously going to need your business cards to hand out.) I don’t know how many of them have become fans, subscribers, or members, but a lot of them are grateful for the information. I’m VERY grateful for all that you’ve shared that has helped me and Calliope!
You deserve all the kudos you get! I love training with you. I am more conscious of my reactions and made a HUGE mistake after just listening to the podcast about being in class and someone wants to show you how to do something with my dog. Never again! The key to your podcasts is to listen and do! Heartbroken I didn’t.
